Peak Climbing in Nepal
The Nepal Mountaineering Association has designated 18 lesser summits, ranging in elevation from 5587 m. to 6654 m. as trekking peaks. These peaks offer a compromise between a standard trek and a full-on mountaineering expedition, ranging in difficulty from moderately steep glacier walks to technical, multi day rock and ice climbs previous climbing experience is not strictly necessary, but you need to be specially fit and able to cope with cold and stormy conditions.

Imjatse (Island Peak) Trek & Climb
The ascent of Imja Tse (Island Peak) is within the capabilities of fit and determined hill walkers as, aside from one steep and exposed 100m ice or snow climb, it is a non-technical, though demanding, snow climb.
Mera Peak Trek & Climb
Situated in the Everest Region to the east of the main Khumbu trekking trails, Mera Peak stands at 6654 meters. The trail follows the original Everest expedition route from the road head at Jiri.
Pisang Peak Climbing
The peak obviously has a lot of scope for exploration & pioneering. The whole of the western flank, which is guarded by a hanging glacier would appear to offer a considerable challenge, whilst a traverse of the whole summit ridge which connects to a more northern summit before curving back west looks a superb possibility.
Chulu West Climbing
These peaks form part of the Manang Himal, which are quite rightly included in the larger Damodar Himal, the eastern limit of which runs south from Chako and Peak 6,687m. in a north-to-south direction along the Hunlung Khola, Nar Khola and Phu Khola. To the south it is bounded by the Marsyangdi Khola and the Mesokanta La.
Chulu Far East Climbing
From a camp in the moraines at 5,334m. below the col separating the East and Far East Peaks of Chulu, gain the col (5608m.). From the col follows the South-West Ridge on snow and ice throughout to the summit. There are several short sections of steep snow or ice (45 degrees) and bulges produced by the glacier.
Naya Kanga Peak
The normal route of ascent on Naya Kanga is via the North-East Ridge, an aesthetic line on snow and ice, classically alpine in character. Research has ot revealed who makd the first ascent despite the fact that several romantics would like to credit the ubiquitous Tilman which the feat.
Yala Peak Climbing
The Langtang Himal and the Jugal Himal are renowned for their picturesque and distinctive peaks. The valley between them is one of the world's most beautiful.
